Announcing Our New Executive Director!

SDA is thrilled to introduce our new Executive Director, Erik Greenfrost! Erik will be starting at SDA on Monday November 18. We are so happy to welcome Erik to the SDA community! We feel they will be a strategic and visionary leader, creating a strong structure for the organization, so we can continue our important work of organizing and educating seniors and disabled people.

Erik Greenfrost (genderqueer, pronoun flexible) has lived in the Bay Area since 2007 and has been deeply involved with community events, development work, and strategic visioning, including with the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, the Silicon Valley Gay Men’s Chorus, the Bears of San Francisco, and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.  She has a BA in English and an MA in English Education from Michigan State University, and an MA and PhD in Education from UCSC.  They were previously an English professor at City College of SF, before he joined SFJAZZ as the Development Events Manager and then the Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Partnerships.

Many thanks to our dedicated search committee who worked diligently during the last few months. We are also grateful for the Arora Collective, our leadership search consultant, for their invaluable guidance and support.

Lastly, thank you to our beloved members and community for your support during this transition period. We are so excited to begin this next chapter of Senior and Disability Action’s history.
